ABOUT US

Experience & trust

EnviroBiomics is a leading commercial environmental laboratory in USA that specializes in analyzing samples to determine the presence of mold, bacteria, and other microorganisms (including ERMI, HERTSMI-2, Actino testing, Mycotoxins, Endotoxins, etc.).

We collaborate with environmental and medical experts who make crucial decisions about the indoor environment that have an impact on the health of our communities. We employ research and innovation to produce reliable data that people can rely on and to develop time and resource saving solutions.

Specialized laboratory tests

EnviroBiomics apply MS QPCR and NGS Technology do Dust testing for mold and bacteria, including ERMI, HERTSMI-2, Endotoxins, and Actino.

This technology has a plethora of applications, such as:

  • diagnosing and understanding complex diseases.
  • whole-genome sequencing.
  • analysis of epigenetic modifications.
  • mitochondrial sequencing.
  • transcriptome sequencing  understanding how altered expression of genetic variants affects an organism.
  • Exome sequencing mutations in the exome are thought to contain up to 90% of mutations in the human genome, which leads to disease.
  • DNA techniques have been used to identify and isolate genes responsible for certain diseases, and provide the correct copy of the defective gene known as ‘gene therapy’.

INFORMATION

A confirmation email is the official and the best way to find the status of your testing. The confirmation email will include a reference number we use to follow each sample; if you don't have a confirmation email, it can be because it is still with the mail carrier. Please check your spam folder or give us a call and ask for the confirmation email.

In the event that the carrier loses your packages or does not receive your samples, please note that you will be charged shipping fees for shipping a replacement kit.

If the mold data do not agree with what you expect from a water-damaged building, it could be that the bacteria have taken over the mold. Item #13 (Actino Test) on our website is a test for broad-spectrum bacteria, a good option for environmental problems that are not due to mold.

Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome= CIRS Risk Factors:

As shown by the environmental test and by the GENIE Blood Test.

Actino: Gram-positive bacteria, and toxin source, a Risk factor for CIRS= 42%

Source: Water damage, black water, and organic materials decomposition.

Recommended values: Actino Score of fewer than 10 units Indicative of Healthy Building, 11-15 Further investigation needed, 15 or higher Suggested building-related illness. Actino Index less than 2.0 for D.I and P. I suggested.

Endotoxin: From Gram-negative bacteria associated with allergy, respiratory symptoms, and inflammation. Risk factor for CIRS = 28 %

Source: water damage, black water, organic materials in decomposition, proximity to farm animals.

Recommended values: Less than 100 EU/mg for urban homes, less than 200 EU/mg for homes with multiple dogs and cats, and homes close to farm locations.

ERMI/HERTSMI-2: Water damage mold, and toxins, Risk Factor for CIRS=7%

Source: Water damage

Recommended values: For CIRS conditions, an ERMI score of 2 or less is considered safe. For more information, please consult your doctor and an Indoor Environmental professional for the best advice on interpreting the results.

Sampling method: Swiffer sample method is the preferred method for hard surfaces; collect 10 different areas in the house, and don’t collect from floor level, do not sample from the source unless you need to do a targeted test. In this case, do not use the scoring system in the report. Avoid rust, metals, drywall, soot, ashes, sand, gypsum, and anything other than normal dust.

The Swiffer method will collect any dust in the building and is a reflection of the history of the building. For the current snapshot picture, you will need to collect freshly deposited dust using a black garbage bag or a similar method.
