The Swiffer is the preferred method. With the Swiffer method, you test different areas of your home by cleaning areas that have dust. Areas to test are the tops of cabinets, door frames, window sills, and ceiling fans. With this method, the Swiffer cloth must look dirty to get a good sample.
Vacuum cones are good for collecting samples in a 22-square-foot carpeted area, such as a living room and bedroom. The cone is connected to the hose at the end of the vacuum and the inner tube should be as full as possible to get a good sample.
This is the TAT which stands for turnaround time and is the time it takes for the laboratory to complete the analysis. Once we receive your sample that day, the lab has 5, 3, 1 or the same day to send you the test results. Each one has a separate cost.
The results are emailed to the email that you provide on the Chain of Custody form.
At EnviroBiomics, we provide free interpretation at the primary level; the best person to read the reports is your Indoor Environmental Professional or your medical doctor. Reports include interpretation and reference values to be used as a guide. An asterisk indicates the species elevated 10, 100, or 1000 fold over the reference value/average values (Geometric Means) published by the EPA/USA government are also on our website. Please be aware that the EPA published one set of references in 2006 for homes built in 1970 or before and another for those built after 1970; the report uses the second set of reference values, but you can always consult our website for the older homes.
DRY SWIFFER COLLECTION METHOD
Areas can include tops of interior door frames, entertainment centers, shelves, dressers, nightstands, HVAC return vents, and other regions like this. The goal is to gather dust from different areas in the home/office to analyze the entire space.
DO NOT sample directly from a visible mold source (i.e., mold spots on a wall). Avoid sampling areas that are rusty and have visible dust from clay or drywall dust from construction, repairs, or new builds. Avoid areas near stoves, heaters, or other high-heat sources. Samples taken from these areas will inhibit the testing process

REFUND POLICY

Testing kits are valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase.

Cancellations must be submitted by email only.

100% refund if the order is canceled before the kit is shipped.

90% refund if the kit has been shipped, provided the cancellation is requested within 90 days of purchase.

50% refund applies if:

The sample is Inhibited,

There is Not Enough Sample, or
-
The sample is already in processing at the lab at the time of cancellation.

No refunds will be issued once sample testing has been fully processed and completed.

Samples are held for 10 business days from the date they arrive at the laboratory.
A confirmation email is the official and most reliable source for all information related to your sample and report.

This email includes a reference number used to track each sample.

If you have not received a confirmation email, the kit may still be in transit with the mail carrier.
Please allow a minimum of 7 business days for any approved refund to be processed back to the original payment method.
All additional courier fees are the responsibility of the customer.
A free 5-minute consultation is available to review reports. This consultation provides general, non-medical information only and is subject to scheduling availability. Appointment slots are limited, and we will make every effort to schedule the earliest available time.

We do not provide medical advice and are not Indoor Environmental Professionals (IEPs).

Our consultants do not review Actino-Skin reports, as these are health-related. Interpretation of these results must be done by a licensed medical doctor.

When a holiday occurs during the business week, all samples will be processed on the next business day.

All same-day, 1-day, 2-day, and 3-day turnaround upgrades are non-refundable.

No cancellations are allowed for orders with same-day or 1-day turnaround times once the sample is received by the lab.
SHIPPING POLICY
2-Day Air, Overnight & International Priority

Orders must be received by 4:00 PM CST for same-day shipment. Orders received after this time will be processed on the next business day.

For U.S. destinations, and depending on destination, courier availability, and cost efficiency, orders may be shipped via 2-Day service even if a faster option is selected on the website.

By agreeing to these terms, you authorize the courier to leave the package unattended at your shipping address and assume full responsibility for any package that is lost or stolen. We do not accept disputes related to lost or stolen packages.

Overnight and International Priority services apply to business-day delivery only and exclude weekends and holidays.

Carriers are selected based on geographic location, availability, and cost efficiency.

Please select the delivery option that best suits your needs, as shown on our website.
We are not responsible if the carrier fails to meet estimated delivery timelines. Private carriers deliver business days only and do not deliver on weekends or holidays.
Shipping Address Requirements

Please provide a valid physical shipping address.

If you choose to ship to a PO Box, your order will be shipped via USPS, as private carriers do not deliver to PO Boxes.

USPS shipments may take longer than private carriers, and we are not responsible for delays or lost packages shipped via USPS.

When selecting expedited shipping, it is the customer’s responsibility to confirm that their location is eligible for overnight delivery.
Same-Day & Next-Day Shipping

Orders requesting same-day shipping must be placed and received by 4:00 PM CST; otherwise, they will ship the next business day.

Next-day orders placed on Fridays will be delivered on the next available business day, not Saturday or Sunday.

Replacement kits are subject to shipping charges.
RETURN LABELS

Return labels can be added during checkout when selecting a shipping option or purchased later through the Store section of our website.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY (SHIPPING)

We do not accept disputes for lost or damaged packages.

In such cases, we offer a replacement kit, charging only the shipping cost.

If you ship your sample using a carrier of your choice and it is lost or not received, you must file a claim directly with the carrier.

This policy also applies to samples sent without an Envirobiomics return label.
SAMPLE TURNAROUND TIME POLICY

All turnaround times are calculated in business days only.
-
A 5-day processing time means the report will be available within 5 business days after processing begins.

Example: If the sample arrives on Monday, the report will be available by the following Monday.

Weekends are excluded, as the laboratory is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

The day the sample arrives is not counted as Day 1.
Same-Day Processing

Samples must arrive by 12:00 PM CST to qualify for same-day processing.

Samples arriving after 12:00 PM CST will be processed as 1-day turnaround.
