- EDTA tube (available at most institutions/phlebotomy services)
Tube size may vary between manufacturers. The cap closure is lavender/purple in color and includes an EDTA (anticoagulant) solution inside. The tube size is a 16 x 100 mm tube with a blood draw volume of 8.5 mL. The closure type/color is BD Hemogard/Blue. There is 2 mL of a proprietary EDTA solution inside the tube.
