Actino Plus ERMI provides a broader view of your indoor environment by combining Actino® and ERMI testing in one comprehensive environmental assessment.

The Actino® + ERMI combination brings together two complementary
DNA-based tests to evaluate different microorganisms present in an indoor dust sample.
ERMI focuses on selected mold species, while Actino® provides information about
Actinobacteria associated with the indoor environment.

What Is the Actino Plus ERMI Test?

Actino Plus ERMI combines two environmental analyses into one testing option.
Rather than evaluating mold alone, this combination provides additional information
about both selected fungal species and Actinobacteria detected in your sample.

This broader approach can be useful when evaluating an indoor environment with
a history of water damage, moisture concerns, or when additional environmental
information is desired.

Why Combine Actino® and ERMI?

Mold represents only one part of the microbial profile that may be present in an
indoor environment. Combining ERMI with Actino® allows you to evaluate two
different groups of microorganisms from the same environmental investigation.

Instead of ordering the tests separately, the combination provides a convenient
way to obtain a broader environmental profile while keeping the results together
for easier review.

What Does ERMI Measure?

The Environmental Relative Moldiness Index (ERMI) uses DNA-based
analysis to quantify 36 selected mold species in dust. Results include individual
mold concentrations and an ERMI Score that can provide additional context about
the mold profile of the submitted sample.

What Does Actino® Measure?

The Actino® Test uses DNA-based laboratory analysis to evaluate
selected Actinobacteria in an environmental sample, providing information that
complements mold testing when a broader assessment of the indoor microbial
environment is desired.

Who May Consider Actino® + ERMI?

This combination may be considered when additional environmental information

Important to Know

Detection of microbial DNA indicates that genetic material from the organisms
included in the test was detected in the submitted sample. Results do not by
themselves confirm active growth, identify the source of contamination, or
diagnose a medical condition.

Environmental laboratory results should be interpreted together with building
conditions, moisture history, visual observations, and other relevant
environmental information.
